We present the project of the exposition of the works of the legendary representative of St. Petersburg neo-academism Bella Matveeva called "Wave Genetics", prepared by our gallery for the international contemporary art fair COSMOSCOW 2022.
Anufriev Viktor
Born in 1958. In 1978 he graduated from the Normal School, g.Gorodets, in 1991 – the Department of Monumental Painting of St. Petersburg State Artistic-Industrial Academy V.Muhinoy.
Since 1994 – Member of the Union of Russian Artists.
1997, 2001 – Took part in Osaka Triennale, Japan.
His works are in private collections in France, Holland, Germany, Italy, USA, Ecuador, Finland.
The style of the artist was formed by the memories of young years spent on the bank of Volga in cozy city of Gorodets. Majestic church frescos, ancient icons, the famous gorodetsky painting, the open spaces of Volga River and unique beauty of the city formed the creative style of Anufriyev. Everything in his works, from the multilayer technique to the golden plating, refers to icon-painting tradition. And that is quite obviously for the artist living on a border line between modern painting and iconography.
