Ludmila Kurilova was born in Kishinev in a family of creative people. Studied in Repin’s College of fine arts in Kishinev. In 1983–1991 worked in «Lumina» publishing house. In 2001 emigrated to Canada.
Ludmila Kurilova's paintings are inspired by esthetics of the Silver age. Her compositions with images of coddled and whimsical beauties magic dreams find their embodiment, and colourful still lives with bunches of flowers are refined and are expressly decorative. The images created by Kurilova transfer the viewer to the bewitching world of feminity and grace.
