Ivan Tarasyuk is an artist with a world name, the participant of the huge number of exhibitions in Russia and abroad. His recognizable creativity integrates traditions of the Russian and European vanguard (Pablo Picasso, Fernand Leger, Natalya Goncharova), a national toy and – irony of the present times. Characters of its works are friendly and carefree – working people, musicians, clowns, dancers and acrobats. Heroes act as though they are eternally busy – they sing, applaud to the show, play musical instruments, working, perform at arena and at last, jumping into a daily street crush. But any of their activity is equally festive – the work "Seamstresses" is also elegant and full of paints, as well as the dance of circus actors in "Actors and the audience". Life turns into a peculiar decorative formula in which in the best traditions of vanguard all useless details are cut leaving the only pure enthusiasm of life.
