At the November furniture exhibition at Krasnaya Presnya (Moscow, Expocentre Fairgrounds), Tatyana Nikitina Art Holding Gallery, together with Lezertach, presented an unusual creative project to develop a new collection of fabrics and furniture, made in conjunction with the Italian designer Carla Tolomeo. Her designer furniture is a new unique direction in art.

Fancy sofas and chairs with backs in the shape of palms, butterflies or fabulous birds, lush armchairs in the form of giant blooming roses. The designer turned furniture into surreal art objects that differ not only in unusual design, but also in bright colors and luxurious upholstery.

The work of Carla Tolomeo is permeated with light irony, with the help of which the artist conveys the delights of tropical nature, palm trees, ficus and flowers. Using luxurious fabrics, the Italian designer creates a unique atmosphere of a revived stained glass window, movable sculpture. The backs of her chairs in the form of huge roses resemble a fabulous, magical garden.

The Italian designer was in love with St. Petersburg in absentia. And having visited him, she was fascinated by his magic and uniqueness. Carla Tolomeo was especially impressed by the excursion to the Summer Garden - a pearl in the park necklace of St. Petersburg. Inspired by his beauty, Carla gladly agreed to take part in the project.
